Sometimes, we enter a new season guarded—hesitant to hope, afraid to expect too much, or weighed down by past disappointments. Life can bruise us, and it's only natural to protect ourselves. But here's the truth: you can't fully receive what's ahead if your heart is closed to it.

Opening your heart doesn't mean forgetting what you've been through. It means allowing space for growth, love, joy, and new opportunities. It means trusting that your purpose is still unfolding, and the best may be yet to come.

Whether you're navigating a transition, healing from loss, or chasing a long-held dream—this is your reminder to:

  • Release the fear that's been holding you back
  • Embrace what makes you unique, strong, and worthy
  • Welcome the next chapter with boldness and faith
  • Believe that you are not too late, too much, or too little

Being Blessed and Curvy is about more than appearance—it's a mindset. It's about resilience, self-love, and the courage to show up with your whole heart, no matter what.

I've learned that when we guard our hearts too tightly, we don't just keep out potential pain—we also block potential blessings. We become so focused on what went wrong before that we miss what could go right ahead.

Your heart has been through battles, yes. It has scars that tell stories of survival and strength. But those same experiences have also expanded your capacity for compassion, deepened your appreciation for genuine love, and taught you to recognize authentic opportunities when they appear.

The season you're entering requires a different version of you—one who has learned from the past but isn't imprisoned by it. One who understands that vulnerability isn't weakness; it's the birthplace of connection, creativity, and breakthrough.

Why I hate Cancer!!!!

Coming from a large family is a blessing, tons of gatherings, laughs, and sharing history I was going through pictures and seeing siblings, cousins, and friends who died from cancer I realized that there is a history that we share. All forms of cancer from bone, prostate, breast, to lung caner. I have had my own scares with biopsies for breast, uterus and tongue cancer. I still have a marker in my body for them to track the size of the lump in my breast that they said isn't cancerous. Looking at my friends and family go from being healthy, not a care in the world and then BOOM the results!
