Why I Created A Blog?
I created my blog to feature up and coming new authors who
were releasing their books, post my poetry that I wanted to express, promote my
own self published books and also touch on subjects to engage the readers.
What I experienced in the seven years since my first blog
post for Blessed & Curvy is that the titles have changed but the subjects
are the same. These are words touching people in many ways. From writing about crime
in the United States, being a caregiver and what we can do to make a change is
still happening.
I write a blog to let the words flow until the pen stops is
my mantra and as I am getting older and wiser I feel that it’s not going to
happen any sooner instead there is more to write and more to say I am here! Writing
a blog on various subjects I found that when I spoke on sexual assault,
domestic violence and purging to start anew the engagement soared. Readers
responded to what was being written. Letting me know that my work is not in vain.
I had touched a nerve that people wanted more.
I also wanted to share my platform with other guest bloggers
to have the opportunity with my readers to let their stories be told. Various genres
of books have been shared from fiction, sci-fi, erotica, and nonfiction books
were featured on my virtual book tours.
